Sugar Skull Halloween Makeup Tutorial

Hey Ladies, Welcome back to my blog. So I have decided to try my luck and do something a little more than writing and I made my first EVER video tutorial. This is my version of the girly Sugar Skull, it's really easy to do and affordable. For anybody who doesn't want to spend a fortune on Halloween Makeup & Costume, this is perfect. I swear when I did it, my dog didn't recognize me and was actually scared of me. Of course everybody can create their own version of the Sugar Skull, depending on your style. Tell me if you would like more video tutorials. All the products used are listed below the video. Happy Halloween.

(Sugar skull)

In Mexico, Sugar art goes back to the Colonial Period 18th century. Sugar skulls represented a departed soul, had the name written on the forehead and was placed on the gravestone to honor the return of a particular spirit. Sugar skull art reflects the folk art style of big happy smiles, colorful icing and sparkly tin and glittery adornments.

Vintage Beauty Ads

Skimming through fashion and lifestyle magazines, beauty ads always catch our attention. Even if you are not going to buy this product you want to be the girl in the ad, look like her at least. As a previous marketing student and current junior marketing slave, I  believe that advertising is a reflection of culture based on place and time. Beauty standards according to style can be quite the a history teller, each era has its own trends and that's created by the people in these industries. Mix them both and you have a look at what people desire and think of luxury.

Here is a look at Makeup and Perfumes ads across the last century:
