Taboli Salad Recipe

I am in love with the Lebanese cuisine, they somehow manage to have yummy stuff without having to be as heavy as Egyptian cuisine. A lot of their of their food is healthy, no wonder they look like that. In my journey to fat loss I have decided to spice up my diet and give myself options other than steamed broccoli. I will be posting several fun recipes that I find and try. So here we go the infamous taboli.

Ingredients

1 lemon
1 spring onion or 1 medium sized regular onion
1/3 cup of grinded bulgur
2 spoons of olive oil
2 medium sized tomatoes
1 parsley tuft
1/2 tea spoon of salt
4-5 mint sticks \
3-4 leaves of lettuce (optional)

Cooking

1) Put the grinded bulgur in boiling water and let it cook for 5-6 minuets
2) Filter the grinded bulgur from all the water and let it cool on the side
3)Wash all of your veggies, grab your wooden cutting board and let's go
4) Chop the tomatoes and onions into tiny pieces
5) Grind the Parsley and the mint together
6) Mix all the veggies together and add the bulgur gradually in a bowl
7) Juice the lemon over the mixture
6) Add the 2 spoons of olive oil
7) Sprinkle the slat
8) Mix all the ingredients
9) You can surrond it with cut out lettuce for decoration (optional)
10) Serve

Notes

This bowl is enough for 2 people and honestly if you like share it with someone and have grilled chicken or turkey breast with it, you will be full for the night.
This whole bowl is around 330 calories because of the bulgur and olive oil, I promise almost no saturated fats. The bulgur is very felling as it's carbs.

Enjoy
