Fitness Chic

If you're reading this, Thank you for the well to try being fit, thank you for reading my blog and you're welcome; I did the research for you; after weeks on tumblr fitspo blogs, long hours in the gym and a long long weight loss journey! I have made your research for you!
I am a beginner when it comes to loving working out and fitness, thanks to Curves and Cassey Ho! I consider myself at the beginning of the right track; however I discovered that fitness needs stables!
Which are the items that each girl needs to get, if she's going fitness chic;

1) Chap sticks: I am not pro wearing any kind of makeup while working out, I have tried wearing some kohl and mascara before; ended up looking like a zombie with all the black under my eyes, it was so bad! however chap sticks isn't really make up, it keeps your lips from drying out specially when you're jogging. I have tried labello, body shop and lip smacker! currently I am using lip smacker and it's fabulous.

2)Sports water bottle: Personally, I thought they are just a fancy way to make you spend more money on something that you can do from a regular bottle, it's optional of course, however recently I have been working out really hard and it's hard to swallow big amount of water when I am almost out of breathe; one time I almost chocked; the sports bottle cap gives just a good amount for hydration.

3) Shoes: oh shoes, shoes, shoes! my ultimate love! there is a difference between training shoes and running shoes. Training shoes are for any physical movement, these shoes are designed for flexibility; running shoes are steadier on the ground and are designed for the heels and toes to move forward; the sole is not sticky nor smooth which prevents you from slipping and possibly falling, which is not a good thing to happen while working out or while doing anything really! when choosing training shoes, choose one that is wider when it comes to the toes area, you don't want to be thinking about your toes while working out, god knows how much we think about them while wearing heels. As for running shoes, make sure to try them before buying, get a one that fits you and make you comfortable, stand on a straight service and walk in them, if it feels right then you possibly have found the one. Don't forget to keep your lace tight and nice, you don't want to stumble upon your lace while working out or while running.
4) Socks: drop your fabulous nylons ladies, it's time to get down and dirty. Choose the ones that ends at your ankle, you're going for a fitness session, however you're still a lady not a soccer player. get the ones that is made of mainly wool blends, because ... SMELLS are not nice and these socks are gonna be used a lot more than you think. try to get the ones that are a bit synthetically and have extra padding on the heels.Get as many as you can get your hands on, have fun with it and get different colors. mostly the ones that have pierces are good to let your feet breath and avoid the bad smells to attack your feet. Wash your socks after working out using vinegar, detergent and hot water, never ever use a sock twice without washing them.

5)Sports bras: You're training to look fabulous and saggy boobs are not a part of being fabulous, sports bras keeps the girl stable while you work out. If you're a cup A go with the halter ones they look good. otherwise wear a molded cup to separate the girls and keep them supported. make sure it's fitting, as in tight enough for  the Sung feeling and comfortable so you would be able to breathe deeply. Get a sports bra with straps, you're working out, no need to impress anybody, also racer backs are sexy. Your sports bra size is a mixture between your band size + your bust size + your cup size, you already know your cup size, know your band size by measuring around your rip cage and your bust size is measured around your chest area. When the girls start moving fast in the bra, or you get thinner and the size is too big, it's time to say good bye and get a new one, also for hygienic reasons, get your self 2-4 sports bras and wash them well after the workout, you sweat a lot in these.
6)Tops: Wear cotton tank tops, regular cotton t-shirts are good too, V necks, round necks, whatever you like, just avoid any silk, chiffon, establishments and buttons, anything that would distract you while working out is a big NO NO.  Face it you will sweat, so wear something that you can easily wash, get a variety so you won't run of options.Compression tops are Lycra tight tops that absorbs your sweat, nice for you to keep your body dry.
7) Underwear: NEVER wear a thong! Squats are gonna kill you I am telling you. make sure to get comfy underwear that supports your bum bum while working out, personally I love the one with elastic wrap around your tummy, even if you like to get boy shorts so you would be able to move easily specially if your inner thighs aren't in shape yet, cover up cause nobody wants to see the crack of your ass while you work out. Wash Wash Wash after the workout!
8) Bottoms: If you have lean legs and fit thighs that are SHAVED! Go for shorts, they are totally cute, Personally I love compression shorts, they are made of Lycra and keep your body dry while working out that is a total bonus for you. shorts are good cause you can see which muscles are being worked and that motivates you and keeps you from doing workouts wrong. I go mostly for compression Capri that end mid leg and still keeps you dry, you can go to regular sweatpants as well, put not the ones that opens from the sides; it's not nice when you work our to keep closing them every 10 minutes. Yoga pants are good for yoga and workout, However I got a pair that I used in my workouts and it ended up ribbing from the inner tights, so get a heavier fabric. Yoga pants has many colors and style; foldover waists, flared legs, tapered legs and drawstring waists. I would recommend getting a couple of each and alternate depending on the workout or the mood you're in. sometimes I even wear compression Capri on loose shorts.
9)Sweat headband: I know the 80's are gone, however sweat headbands shouldn't go with them, I have naturally fabulous curly hair, that I sometimes straighten and these bands protects my roots from the sweat and keeps them from going all frizzy; sweat headbands keep the sweat from running to your eye brows and possibly your eyes, get yourself one and wash it regularly.

10) Gloves: Open fingers, padded palms and made of leather. Weather you're weight lifting, strength working out <<Cardio>> or doing Pilates; you need to protect your palms from the burn cause you need to focus and burn the rest of your body basically, also who would want to get dry palms, make sure to get a good fit, if you get too large gloves you will end up unable to stabilize yourself  and fail.

11) Sweater: Now this is probably not included in the workout itself, you wear it probably on your way to the gym, while running in the cold or while stretching, however if you're working out you won't bother wearing them, you can get the ones that has a zipper or regular hoodies, doesn't matter, make sure that if you will use them for running in the winter to get a heavy one, you don't want to sweat in a light sweater and end up catching a nasty cold.

12)Shower kit: Loofah, shampoo, conditioner, towel and flipflops. if your gym provides nice clean towels like mine does, then fine you can let go of the extra weight, but never ever forever use the loofah in the gym... are you crazy? god knows who used it where and btw water is not enough to convince me to share a loofah with anybody; think of the germs. shampoo and conditioner to protect your hair, your scalp sweats as well and the salt can effect your hair and eventually causes dandruff and dry hair, flipflops cause you don't want to move barefoot in your gym and you can't take your shoes to the shower. If you wanna shower when you go home, fine, do that; but make sure you're going straight to home .
13) Gym bag: where everything goes ... get one big gym bag and not one of these sacks, a gym bag that you can depend on, weather a back bag or a messenger bag both are good. Personally I think a back bag is good cause it makes both shoulders share the weight and a tip, you can run wearing a back bag, but it's so annoying to run  wearing a messenger bag, if you wanna jog or walk to your gym .

Move your ass and workout, get a membership in a gym, go for a jog before or after work, get workout videos and workout to them, join dancing classes. If you're not in shape, there is no magical diet that works without moving you need to get going, and if you are in a good weight, maintain it and build yourself a good body. Of course you don't have to wait till you get all of these items to start working out, start now and collect these things while you are in the process and whenever your budget opens, skip these unhealthy meals you eat out and put your money to something that will help you. this is fitness chic, but remember, if you still look cute at the end of the workout, you haven't worked out hard enough.
